Yesle Kim

Through its effects on population health and productivity, UHC plays an integral part not only in reducing health inequalities but also in alleviating global poverty (…) A recent WHO report suggests the goal of UHC is moving further away as 996 million people worldwide spent more than 10 percent of their household budget on health out of pocket in comparison to 940 million in 2015 (…) External actors are also playing a pivotal role in providing health care in the form of financial and physical means, particularly in countries with political unrest and weak infrastructure like Myanmar.
