Get to know us: the Urban Governance & Sustainability research group

HDRI

The group has been actively engaged over the past few months. Beginning in October, they have been working to build an extensive understanding of the theoretical landscape of urban sustainability and governance. They have studied a number of articles and discussed their values, or lack thereof, in enriching the debate. This research has ultimately contributed to the drafting of the group’s first article.

At present, the group is aiming further to have their voices included within the global conversation. They are devising a proposal to contribute to Ideas for Action (I4A), an annual competition held by the World Bank Group and the Zicklin Center for Business Ethics Research at the Wharton School. The objective is to devise an innovative plan for financing and tackling one of the components of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. In January, the group received encouraging feedback from the I4A Team and since then, has been working hard to refine and develop their proposal.
