SOCIAL INNOVATION COMPETITION

The Human Development Research Initiative's Social Innovation Competition is a yearly event in which we invite teams of students from all over the world to identify a problem or issue of their choice and propose an innovative solution. Each team submits a proposal that focuses on policies that non-governmental organizations can enact to solve the problem at hand. The top-scoring applications will be taken forward to a jury panel composed of experts in the Human Development field appointed by, but independent, from the organizing committee.

Past Social Innovation Competition themes have included furthering peace, justice, and strong institutions in the world, SDGs related to the environment (SDGs 11-12-13-14-15) and SDGs related to global health.

Keep an eye out for future announcements of the 2023-24 Social Innovation Competition!
